Where do you fit palm tools into your workflow?

    Hey all,

So far I've been taking my carvings from block to finish with just knives, but I received a set of palm gouges and a v tool for my birthday. I'm trying to figure out the best way to work them into my carving routine and I thought I would ask the reddit community where they most find themselves using palm tools. Thanks!
