Preparing raw wood for carving? Posted: 29 Jun 2021 12:04 AM PDT

Posted: 28 Jun 2021 04:55 PM PDT Made some wooden spoons and finished with mineral oil followed by a mineral oil/beeswax/carnauba wax mixture. When I went to use them for the first time in boiling water to test them all the oil and wax left the wood and went into the water. Is there a better finish I could use? I've heard of people using tung oil but have never used it personally. Any help would be greatly appreciated [link] [comments] |
