Wood carving My other post showed a damaged door I'm replacing. This will be similar but the entire inner field will be veneered - lacewood in this photo but I'll likely use burled elm. The waterleaf carving will be rabbited so the elm will be about 1 mm below the bottom of the carving.

Wanting to buy my son a beginners kit for Christmas, where do I start?
