Posted: 15 Mar 2020 07:36 AM PDT Hi all, looking for some direction here. I plan on making a new handle for one of my old knives. I was going to use a piece of poplar burl that I have but I am new to carving and have never worked with any type of burl before. How important is it that I use a wood stabilizer and what do you all recommend for filling any small voids? I plan on finishing the handle with linseed oil and since it will be a working or carving knife I will probably only sand to 120 or 200. Thanks for your help! [link] [comments] | ||
