Posted: 08 Jun 2020 11:12 AM PDT So I was gifted some wood carving tools for my birthday. I have no carving or woodworking experience at all, and no idea really where to begin. Do any of you have suggestions for good starter projects, or good resources to suggest to a beginner? [link] [comments] | ||
Etiquette for basically asking for free wood? Posted: 08 Jun 2020 12:17 PM PDT My new neighborhood is riddled with gorgeous pear, oak, maple, magnolia, you name it.. since summertime has come about I am constantly seeing beautiful pieces of wood thrown to the curb for the local municipality to dispose of. I know some places taking someone's trash is essentially taking from the government aka a "criminal offense." My question to you guys is how do I ask my neighbors for their wood without being labeled as "that weird feller in the duplexes that asked me fer sum wood?" [link] [comments] |
