- Oak moth in flight. It's an improvised carving so no claims for accuracy to real moth anatomy! I experimented with a diagonal grain position, which made the carving challenging but I like the final effect. Waxed and buffed.
- A friend got me some BC Fir wood so I thought... It's quite soft and light so why not try to make a carved/realistic lures. So here you go. First time carving a detailed lure and my third time using a hairbrush paint gun. "Top water rainbow trout"
- Any tips on finishing this? Would like to stain the J and C the same with the A a lighter color, leave the back natural. Is a tiny brush and lots of patients my only option?
