Have you all started with a spoon like so many did? I'm just curious :-)

Cool quails on stump! Mom found this at a yard sale and was told it is 50+ years old. No artist or mfr markings. Would love to know more if anyone has additional info about where it’s from or what it’s worth.

    Long shot

My great grandfather Perry Holley ( P.B Holley ) was from what I hear a well known wood carver from west Texas. And from the few pieces I have seen I can totally believe this. My mom adored him and talks about him often. Sadly after he passed a lot of his work was passed on to others or sold. I'm trying to find any of his work for my mama. I've seen some old auctions but I can't find anything recent. It would mean the world to us to have something he created back in the family.

Has anyone tried the “Study Sticks” being sold online for learning to carve faces?

This is the sort of thing I'm talking about.

    Are these a worthwhile investment?

Custom tiki style mask? (Ween's boognish)

    Posted: 05 Nov 2020 01:26 PM PST

Hi all, etsy hasn't been super helpful in finding someone who can do a custom tiki-esque mask, in the style of Ween's boognish (Ween is a band, the boognish is their symbol thingy) so figured I'd try here for anyone taking commissions!
