Wood carving Rekindled my love for carving during the pandemic and now I can’t get enough!

• Rekindled my love for carving during the pandemic and now I can’t get enough!
• Can't wait till nicer weather!
• I found myself in need of a simple mallet to aid my carvings. How did I do?
• Second carving. It's ugly enough so I stopped but it inspired me to make a themed chess set.
• My first carving project. I need better knives, my hands are killing me. Suggested brands?
• Here is one I did for my sister. I have 6 siblings so I'm having lots of fun creating something special that speaks to each one. It's an arduous task. Lol This carving idea I "borrowed". The fish , I believe we're carved, but the plants, which I mirrored on each side was a CNC "carving"
• When making large projects I glue and dowel the boards, alternating the end grain to avoid cupping/warping.
• First project ever! It's rough and ready and it needs tidied up. But I'm excited to finish up and move onto my next project. Tips + advice + criticism appreciate. Things I learned inside.
• Finished a few over the past few weeks
• Some face practice - maybe 3 weeks experience so far
• First time carving, I love this hobby!
• This is my 2nd attempt at wood carving, I’m pretty happy with it but any tips and constructive criticisms would be appreciated - eyes are hard
• First “character” whittle, started Whittling in December, face next I think. Fingers crossed!
• Had a fun time carving this commisioned Napoleon
• Did I mess up my slip strop?
• Dremel carving
• Been many months since I've made something. And yes that bandaid is exactly what you think it is.
