Posted: 19 Jan 2021 07:17 AM PST Hi folks, Hoping you can assist me in leveling my expectations for a price quote to have a tree trunk carved. I had a tree in my yard cut down because it was beginning to overhang my barn and was starting to lean quite a bit. I had the arborist leave about 6 feet of the trunk because I use it to hang my hammock. Rather than just having a plain trunk in my yard I thought it would be nice to have it carved into a bear statue. Before I reach out to local artists, I am trying to get a ball park of a price I can expect so I know whether or not the initial quote I get is fair or warrants some negotiation. The trunk is about 6 feet tall and about 3 feet in diameter. Does any one have any experience in carving like this or has anyone had an artist do similar work? [link] [comments] | ||
