Recycled an old drill case into carving tool case. Decided to leave other side unfinished in case I buy stuff different sizes.

Handcarved maple. A lot of spalting, resulting in punky wood. I did my best, but had to quit.. Pretty graining, but not fun to work on.. Walnut oil is all I use for a finish..

    Sturdy work table recommendations?

    Posted: 18 Jul 2021 05:53 PM PDT

Hello, I'm a beginner and I'm looking into a work table that will be sturdy enough to use a hammer/mallet and chisel. I'm working with limited space and have been looking into portable tables and came across the Workmate (black & decker) 125 or 225 model. I'm not sure how sturdy it will be at the base if there is constant hammering when carving wood compared to a solid desk. Does anyone have any recommendations on work tables with limited space? Thanks!
