    Bevel for grounding tool?

    Posted: 11 Sep 2021 06:50 PM PDT

Total noob here with a noob question.

My straight gouge bevels are set to ~20 degrees. But I've just got my first bent gouges (Ashley Iles grounding tool and #4 1/4"). They both have bevels close to 30 degrees. Should I hone them closer to 20 degrees? Or will that interfere with the way they're supposed to handle?
