- Finished my new driveway sign, used two photos of my dogs and completed it by wood etching and resin.
- I hand carved Mew from Pokémon out of Basswood with some Walnut accents
- Purple stained piece for my grandma. Four flowers in a circle.
- Bear coming along nicely. Detailing is my favourite part looks change so much so fast.
- I've had a lot of fun making the little guy from yesterday so I decided to make a slightly bigger and more detailed version
- CNC Wood Carving / Turning Machines
- Finished image of 5 1/2" (approx 15cm) standing height wooden ball jointed art doll. All body parts including head are carved in wood.
- I tried carving Vault Boy from Fallout
- DIY wooden ceiling lamp+ Free SketchUp Plan
- Comfort Bird carved from a burl - Pretty wood, but burls are hard to carve!
- It ain’t much but I carved myself a somewhat ergonomic letter opener.
- Bevel for grounding tool?
- So i just got these to start woodcarving because it looked interesting. Does anyone know how to use these?

Posted: 11 Sep 2021 06:50 PM PDT Total noob here with a noob question. My straight gouge bevels are set to ~20 degrees. But I've just got my first bent gouges (Ashley Iles grounding tool and #4 1/4"). They both have bevels close to 30 degrees. Should I hone them closer to 20 degrees? Or will that interfere with the way they're supposed to handle? [link] [comments] | ||
