- A windy afternoon as the sun sets beyond the hills of New Zealand
- I carved a little toy owl from plum.
- Wizard wood spirit
- Could I get some feedback on this section of a face I'm carving? Would really appreciate some constructive criticism on what I can improve!
- Little bird woodcarving : )
- my Shoebill and Flamingo Woodcarving
- Not sure who made this but it's been in my family for years
- Are those knife sharpening gizmos any good?
- Chip carving.
- I’m out of stropping compound. But I have sandpaper in various grits up to 3000. Could I substitute this for the compound to sharpen my knives?

Are those knife sharpening gizmos any good? Posted: 16 Sep 2021 09:43 AM PDT I am bad at sharpening knives. I don't know why, exactly--I think I'm not at all good at judging angles so I hold my knife at all kinds of random angles against the whetstone. I'm seeing ads for these gizmos that sort of clamp onto a table top and have a moving arm that guides your knife against a whetstone surface at a consistent angle. There are expensive ones and reasonable ones. Do people like these? I'm afraid I haven't described them well but if you've seen the ads, you know what I mean~ [link] [comments] | ||
