    Your best suggestions for filling and further preventing cracks on large, dry dead fall.

    So. My wife is the carver. We took down a huge ash and she's currently carving a Lion's Head. Can I get your suggestions/best methods that work for you in regards to filing cracks and preventing further cracking?

    First thing whittled (since spears as a kid), it's... a.. paperweight? Basswood carved with SAK, finish is BLO and paste wax.
