I need help picking the right power carver for my grandfather.

I have $400 on amazon gift cards and I'd like to use them on my grandfather who has been talking about buying a power carver for two years now.

I want to make sure whatever I buy him isn't junk, as I'm not familiar with this at all.

Here is what I have identified so far (all from amazon:) 1) Proxxon 38644 Power Carver MSG - $150 2) Arbortech Power Carving Chisel Kit with 7 Chisels - $250 3) Foredom K.5240 Woodcarving Kit - $343 4) AUTOMACH Power Carver - $299 5) Dc-501F Ryobi Electric Carving Knife - $199

Anyone have any experience with of these? Quality and effectiveness are the most Important factors to consider. Thank you!
