If you could only have 1 knife to carve with which would you choose? Posted: 13 Aug 2020 01:51 AM PDT I am mainly looking for just occasionally carving around a fire while backpacking. I don't expect to become very good at it or anything. I just need to keep my weight down so I am mainly looking for a a knife that could be used around camp for very simple tasks along with my folding saw. I ordered a Mora Eldris which I heard was good for carving but I cancelled it cause stainless steel blades aren't really my thing. I had a different mora stainless before and the blade just felt so dry and always picked up dirt and stuff on it. If I wanted to get into very basic wood carving with one tool what should it be? Wood Carving for a Weak Person? Posted: 12 Aug 2020 06:19 PM PDT I'm disabled. My arms aren't very strong. Is carving something I could handle? If so, any suggestions on where to start? [link] [comments] | ||
