    Safety

I've been carving for about a year now. This is my second mishap that should likely have been stitched (5 stitches on my first slice across the meat of my thumb, now this). My worst cuts have been on my non-knife hand due to slips on knots or pushing when I clearly should have used finesse.

I hate gloves- but clearly need them. It is almost impossible to find the right fit for me because I'm a woman, but my palms are wide and muscular due to my job (see username).

Anyhow- any tips aside from not being a dumbass?
