Posted: 15 Jul 2021 04:28 PM PDT I'm a beginner and just can't pull the trigger on anything because I am not around any people who can give me info. I just want to see if there is a big difference if I choose wrong. Like beavercraft or flexcut. [link] [comments]
Posted: 15 Jul 2021 08:51 PM PDT I tried some research on this and have yet to find a consistent answer. Hopefully someone on here can help out. I am wanting to do some two-dimensional carvings of various images in nature -- mountains, river streams, etc. -- but I am having trouble determining how deep to make each layer to avoid running out of wood. Is there a recommended scale on how deep to make each layer based on a board's thickness? [link] [comments]

Posted: 15 Jul 2021 05:45 PM PDT Does anyone know how to prevent wood from splitting during carving and once finished. I am making a tobacco pipe using lilac wood. It's a beautiful wood with a mildly floral smell. I need to keep in mind that it should be functional, so no toxic solutions. [link] [comments] |
