So quick question. Just started carving and was wondering, what’s the best method to cut down basswood blanks for smaller sized projects? I have mostly 1x1x4 pieces and not many tools. Looking for like 1” or 2”” lengths. Maybe a coping saw? Any advice much appreciated.

I'm a 19 years old woman with upper body hypotonia and it's affecting notably my wrists and arms, i wanna get into woodcarving as I've been wanting to get into other forms of art than drawing and sewing, is it something that requires a lot of strength?
