Wood carving Just finished my first woodcarving project using my newly purchased Kirschen tools - a muddler made from reclaimed pine. Sanded to 320 grit, base to 1200, notch in top a design feature to remove splintered wood. Looking for suggestions on how to finish it (flavourless cooking oil? beeswax?)

• Made with a fresh cut post oak branch, carved while green, dried a week then painted. Thumb bandaid is from a locust tree thorn, not a cut(this time)
