Has anybody used the beaver craft strop block designed for hook knives?

Title basically says it. Does the beveled block make it easier to sharpen and hone? Just wondering if anybody has experience before I add it to the amazon cart.

    Thoughts on this knife

Hi, I just got my drake detail knife in. As a beginner I am unsure what to look for when inspecting knives. Is this normal for the blade to be off center like this? I know I ordered during holidays and that sometimes effects quality control. Any help is greatly appreciated.
