BEGINNER QUESTION: Looking to learn woodcarving based on medieval techniques

    Posted: 03 Mar 2020 10:02 AM PST

Hi all, I'm a school teacher (fourth grade) and I do a LOT of experiential learning. I always like to learn myself so I am better able to teach my students. I would love to learn the art of woodcarving but would like to at least try and resemble historical techniques.

Might anyone else have any advice on how to get started for a complete rookie? Equipment? I've done some bushcrafting before with crude buck knife but only to fashion simple objects, not the art I'd love to create.

    Thanks! J
