My Mother's Day gift. I've been wood carving for a little over a year now. I finished sanding this piece down, now all I have to do is stain it.

    Recommendations for newbies?

    Posted: 05 May 2020 08:14 AM PDT

I'm planning to get my husband a woodcarving kit for our anniversary. He's been looking around for a good productive hobby for this quarantine and I know he'd love woodcarving. Do yall have any recommendations for a good comprehensive kit? If it matters, he's left-handed. TIA!

I haven't carved in a while, but got inspired to do a small little character carving. It's based on a new board game on kickstarter called "Tapeworm."

Anyone know about this bone carving site?

Does anyone know about this website called Skullbliss? They are saying the use real skulls and the work seems very intricate. I don't know how the could justify the price. 200-300. It's always on a $100 off and their website only has 5 star reviews. Seems shady, but wondering if anyone knows about it. I have a cow skull i'm looking into carving and came upon it.
