What kit to buy and do multi tools work? Posted: 15 Jun 2020 12:27 PM PDT Looking at amazon theres just so many kits im a begginer and would like a descent starting kit. I dont mind price so much. Also would love a "on the go" multi tool any good recommendations? Thank you. [link] [comments]
Posted: 15 Jun 2020 11:31 AM PDT Hey everyone, I want to make a 10" high carving for outside that will be covered by a roof. I normally carve with Basswood but I am thinking that something like cedar may have a better life outdoors when treated with an outdoor Poly. I won't get any direct rain but it certainly will face the elements more than anything I do indoors. Any thoughts? [link] [comments]

Posted: 14 Jun 2020 04:48 PM PDT I'm trying to carve a spoon from some fresh apple wood, but the wood keeps popping chips off with tear out when I try to carve it. I sharpened my knife and it still seems to be popping chips off rather than carving off. Do I just rough it out and hope it does better when it's dry? [link] [comments]
