- "Stretched" walnut, me, 2020. This piece has magnets so it can detach from the frame for those curious hands.
- "Crossed" hardwood, me, 2020. I was just playing around with a glued up block and this was the result. The piece was ebonized with India ink and acrylic paint was used on the cross.
- Cherry Cigar Store Indian.
- Hand
- Basswood low-relief, with some tinting.
- Two hand pendants inspired by a Hand of Glory
- You Shall Not Pass
- What to make what to make...
- Can anyone recommend any good beginner wood carving set's for beginners? What advice would you give to someone looking to get into wood carving?
- Bought the wrong knife

Posted: 18 Sep 2020 02:32 PM PDT i'm looking to get into wood carving as a hobby and was wondering what brands, tools or start kits the community might recommend? i did a google search and am pretty overwhelmed with the choices. what are the best brands out there? what is the best wood to be using? i literally have no idea where to start and would appreciate any advice you might be able to share with a noob. Sorry of this the wrong place but I have a dremel question. Posted: 18 Sep 2020 01:35 PM PDT Is there a chart somewhere to match bits, materials, action(carve/polish/etc) and speeds. I've looked and unfortunately can't find one. [link] [comments] |
