Carved bench from a block of wood Posted: 09 Mar 2021 11:30 PM PST Hi everyone. Somewhat new Reddit user over here. Just thought I would ask this sub for some input and direction. I just moved into a house and I've been looking for natural furniture to buy. I stumbled across this gorgeous bench on 1stdibs but it's way too much and comes from Paris. It's carved from a big block of cedar. If I found a local woodcarver - would this be something they could replicate ? Could I find blocks of cedar this size ( approx 70 inches long) at lumbar yards or would that be a specialty item? I included the link cause I can't figure out how to insert photos. Thanks for your time ! carved cedar bench [link] [comments] |
