- “You’ve met with a terrible fate, haven’t you?”
- How should I dry/finish this small fidget toy I carved from an oak branch?
- Carved an Ash handle for this Broad Axe I did for a customer. Has a slight curve to the right to combat knuckle-busting. I use a hatchet, pocket plane, rasp, and sandpaper to make a handle.
- Bit of an odd one, carved Gunnersaurus (Arsenal FC's mascot) for a friend. Basswood, hand tools and sandpaper.
- A figure I made some time ago.
- I carved some Comfort Birds from combining some epoxy with the left over scraps and wood chips from previous projects
- Carved this tiki from an ash branch. Not bad for carving
- Village
- Lantern - sumi ink on birch/ gold glitter frame
- Any thoughts on what I could whittle out of these corner cut-offs? It seems like a waste just to burn em, but I don't know what else I could make with em.. I've got a whole box full of the things..
- Any idea what kind of wood this is?

Posted: 16 Aug 2021 07:25 AM PDT So, I carved or whittled a,lit back in the 70's and early 80's. Carved mostly from books with ready made patterns. I've recently been doing spoons, cause everyone is. I have an idea though, I'm thinking about starting a village. Carving one guy, and some livestock. Then adding his wife, and slowly growing the village over time by adding more villagers. I'm tossing around, Roman, iron aged saxon, or maybe even colonial. Thoughts? [link] [comments] | ||
