Wood carving Work in progress |
- Work in progress
- Hand carved this today just stained it gonna let that soak in and polyurethane after fun days in warren ohio
- “The Slumbering Spirit”
- Can anyone tell me what this is and where I could get similar carvings? Or is this something random someone has made? Either way I love it!
- My first bowl
- Another handcarved black walnut bowl. Walnut oil just applied. Fun wood to work with, just have to be wary of its tendency to want to split down the side grain.
- This is my first bowl
- I made a little oak coaster for myself today. I hope y'all like it :3 (the runes (ᛖᚲ ᛞᚱᛖᚲ ᛟᛞᛁᚾ ᚦᛖᛊ ᚹᚫᛏᚾ)say "ek drekk Oðinn þess vatn" meaning "I drink Odin's water")
- Can anyone else tell me what this is exactly and where I could find similar peoces to go with it? Or is this maybe something random someone made? Either way I love thisss.

Posted: 01 Aug 2021 01:24 PM PDT I think I've heard of people use some kind of paint for carving but I'm not sure. Is there some kind of paint or dye that can cover the surface of the wood but not soak in? I was thinking about scratching designs into wood, coating it in said paint, then sanding it so that the scratched designs show. [link] [comments] |
