- One importance of sanding your pieces to a high grit is that sometimes you can get an iridescent or sheen finish to appear! That iridescence really adds a visual impact to a piece.
- First attempt at a female face. Still a little too handsome, but I'm happy with it as a study. (Spruce with olfa knife. Criticism welcome)

Tools for a beginner that has raw blocks of wood Posted: 24 Nov 2021 09:25 AM PST I cut wood on a daily basis since my family uses a fireplace to warm up the house, id like to get into carving some of it but i have no idea which tools to get for raw axe-cut chunks of wood, what do you guys suggest are the first tools a beginner should get? It seems like they would and it would be economical as I could use a set of good quality tools for two things But things like these can be fickle, so I'm asking if I'm making a stupid assumption or not [link] [comments] |
