Posted: 19 Dec 2021 08:49 PM PST I've tried stropping it again but it seems like it doesn't help. Should I just strop it more or use the stone? I only have a 400/1000 grit so should I just go to the 1000? Also, how thick should the pieces taken off be? Maybe I'm trying to remove too much wood each slice? [link] [comments]

Book or resource recommendations for in the round/sculptures? Posted: 19 Dec 2021 02:09 PM PST I've been whittling/carving for a while with just a knife and some palm gouges and have been gifted a handful of gouges recently. I've done a few woodspirits in small half log pieces with them, and looking to do busts/sculptures now. What books or resources would you guys recommend for learning? [link] [comments]
