    Cedar Waxwing ... in progress

Finished my first big ‘woodcarving’ project of a red panda with an angle grinder and a dremel out of a basswood block. Finished with some stain and linseed oil. Many mistakes were made but that’s alright with me.

    Child-safe Wood Oil/Wax/Polish

    Posted: 28 Jan 2020 08:13 PM PST

I'm working on wooden toys for my nephew and want to choose a polish/oil to finish the toy pieces. Considering her age, it's very possible that she'll try to nibble them and I couldn't find any specific product for this.

One product I came across suggests something I'm looking for but I'm not sure it is what I should be using - it says "furniture wax".

Suitable for use on children's toys (DIN EN 71-3), saliva and Schweißec Htheit (DIN 53160)
