I live in a small town and can one buy local: Tasmania oak Radiata pine Merbau Red gum Cypress pine Which is my best opinion or is there an Australian website I can cheaply buy timber from?

Decided to try wood carving out. Only other wood working I've done is wood turning. Bought me a 20 dollar starter tool kit on Amazon and some balsa wood. Any tips or you tubers or anything I should check out as a beginner? Still waiting on my stuff in the mail.
