- My latest carving put into scene. Do you like the idea?
- Wood Spirit, Northern White Cedar
- Wood spirit (on an egg!)
- Working on tiny little hands for Brown Jenkin.
- a little snail I am making for my sister-in-law
- monkey
- Flat-plane Great Egret. Basswood with acrylic paint finnish.
- Really struggling to sand things 100% smooth
- DIY mahogany tea tray. My first experience of such work
- Carved capital with his own hands
- Ageing paint?
- my little figures :)
- He’s nothing fancy, but this silly little fella is my first butter knife I’ve successfully finished without any sanding, could probably be better, but I don’t dare go further because I feel I’ll end up with the opposite result
- Advice needed! I’m trying to wean myself off sandpaper, but I’m having a real issue in dips like these, simply, how do I make it smooth with just the carving knife?
- So I ordered a single bevel #1 palm gouge and got this. Returned it for a new one and got the same thing. Am I correct that this is double bevel? I don’t want to be a pain.

Posted: 27 Mar 2021 06:18 AM PDT Doug Linker got me hooked on using a certain "Folkart" brand antiquing solution for making my painted items look finished and have a bit of age. I'm not sure the cause, but it seems to suddenly be out of stock absolutely everywhere I've looked. Is there another product out there I could use, or a technique I can learn? (edit) I'm in the UK if that helps. [link] [comments] | ||
