- Wood spirit, plum
- Oblong bear: it didn't came out exactly as I hoped. The eyes especially were supposed to be carved but in the end I caved out and painted them,
- First comfort bird carving out of basswood.
- Set of 4 Cherry Spoons Commission (Milled by my neighbor, planed by me.)
- My current WIP an owlbear
- First woodcarving project, It has some flaws but I'm not disappointed. Criticism appreciated, I'm a beginner.
- Another imperfect bowl. Cataulpa. Walnut oil just applied.
- Painted honey bear. Thanks for looking.
- A few of my carvings. It's relaxing to CARVE.
- Little bear, honeypot, and bee I carved and will now paint.
- Update: WIP pics of soldier. Some cleanup work to do then off to paint!

Is Southern Magnolia wood desirable for carving? Posted: 22 Jun 2021 03:29 PM PDT We have a very tall Southern Magnolia tree we're going to have to cut down in the next year. Stands about 60' tall. When we've taken trees (fir) before we just used them for firewood but a friend suggested we check for other uses with this magnolia. [link] [comments] | ||
