Posted: 20 Sep 2021 07:08 AM PDT I've upgraded from one of the cheap 3 knife beginner sets, to a mora 120, and flexcut kn13. The mora is great at shifting big chunks, and the flexcut at small amounts, but it feels like I'm missing a few blades. I mostly carve totems, and have figured out I need a chip knife (no idea which) but wanted to know what other options to look at? [link] [comments] | ||

Looking for some tool recommendations for bowl carving Posted: 19 Sep 2021 04:35 PM PDT I'm new to carving and am looking for some advice for new tools. I have a set of knives from BeaverCraft that I've used for carving spoons and such but I would like to try some larger projects like cups and bowls. Im looking to get a couple chisels/gouges so I can get the general shape done quicker than using my hook knife which takes forever. I'm on a pretty tight budget but I would like something that will last me for a while. Any recommendation on a brand/tool that works well for this? [link] [comments] |
