Posted: 22 Nov 2021 06:17 AM PST Newer carver here learning as I go from the greats on YouTube. Since the beginning I have had issues with stropping / sharpening / destroying blades. I first bought beavercraft kit then a sharpening stone when stopping wasn't working. I ended up "grinding" the blades down to nothing. Another kit was bought and now I was smarter! Strop only… but now I have one knife that I can not get paper cutting sharp. I am using green stuff with leather strop. Any tips on cleaning / loading / angles? Please help might just go back to knitting :( [link] [comments]

Are KN12, KN13 and KN14 Flexcut knives enough for beginner? Posted: 21 Nov 2021 09:46 PM PST Hey guys, Recently I am interested in wood carving and have been looking for tools. I watched some Doug Linker videos but since my listening is not good, I don't understand everything. So I wanted to ask here. Are these knives enough to make figures like Doug Linker's? I want to make little figures of movies, characters I like. Maybe animals too. [link] [comments]
