- Wanted to share my first attempt at carving, a little 3-legged bear! I love chanchitos and bears, so I tried to make something that was both.
- My first human carving.
- Im making a little heart ornament out of birch its just for sitting on a shelf and might make some more for some keyrings or necklaces, should I put a finish on them? Like spray lacquer or something or would they be fine without?
- Finished just in time. Ready to give to a coworker on her last day before retirement.
- Thought you all might like my recent wood carving!
- Made this pencil holder out of ash and cherry, sadly I don't have more pencils lol

- Made some owl earrings using my laser, my friend said those are some big earrings. Time to scale down the size. 100 power with 5mm/sec. Cut 8 in 15 mins. Do you like it?

Posted: 21 Jan 2022 12:46 PM PST I am pretty new to wood carving. But I do a fair amount of diy around the house and always on the lookout for a good tool. I have been offered to pick up a Dewalt 20 inch scroll saw for 325 when new they sell for 550. How often do you find this a helpful tool? I feel it is a good deal but just would love some feedback.
