    Mounting Wood Carvings?

    Posted: 07 Mar 2020 12:46 PM PST

Does anyone have some examples of wooden mounts or pedestals they have created for their carvings? I have a sculpture that I am having a difficult time deciding what to mount it on..

It is big (about 18" tall and 8" wide and 10" long) , so I don't want it to be thin like a cutting board. I have been trying to find inspiration from such wooden cutting boards or butchers blocks but nothing is quite right. I think something like a block of different types of wood with an interesting routed edge or even routed to look as though it is layered or stepped would look cool. Hoping to find some inspiration from you all before I try anything though!
