Made my first carving with a pocket knife on a backpacking trip. How do I clean it and finish it? Posted: 01 Jul 2020 10:11 PM PDT Its a little bit grubby because my hands were dirty while carving it. Is there any way to clean it without ruining it? After I clean it I want to finish it, but I could not find walnut oil at any stores. Will linseed oil work instead? [link] [comments] | ||
Posted: 01 Jul 2020 09:55 PM PDT Hello everyone! I'm hoping some of you can help me!! My family is doing a gift exchange and I received my grandfather! He's a master Carver, and travels around helping judge competitions, etc. Our dollar limit is supposed to be $50, but that's more of a "guideline" 😏 I know he has dang near every tool possible, and he typically makes what he doesnt have lol. I was hoping for a good gift idea for the experienced Carver that has everything. I've been trying to find a good book that has other masterworks done that he could get ideas from or anything like that but I'm struggling. Any help would be a huge help! Thanks in advance!!
