Is it possible and practical to use a spoon carving kit to carve small (15cm dia.) bowls too?

    Posted: 02 Aug 2020 06:59 AM PDT

I'd love to make myself some matching spoons and bowls and was curious about the possibility of doing this.

also, what kits would people suggest for a beginner?

    thanks,

    Help

    Posted: 02 Aug 2020 09:30 AM PDT

So I've been trying to make a Kuksa cup for a few weeks now. I just can't get the hang of it. I'm slowly getting better at swinging the hatchet but always find spilts in the wood once I get going. Idk. I've watched lots of videos and while I feel I'm still learning, I just can't get the grasp of it.

Any help or advice is appreciated.

Been doing lots of Comfort Birds for family gifts because everyone wanted one ... and then they all saw the Tree Spirit carving I did and now everyone wants one of those instead.
