- My strawberry, not amazing compared to most posts here but I’m slowly getting better
- Hi! I'm a 15-year-old woodworker. I recently got into Mortal Kombat and thought it would be fun to replicate the Scorpion Kunai. This was a fun project, and I have made other knife replicas for different games.
- Wood!
- Red cedar driftwood for my moms garden
- Duo birds, Myketka Yurii, wood with epoxy resin, 2020
- Current bear WIP
- Is it possible to make limbs movable on wooden figures?
- Hello guys. I am pretty amateur about wood carving so i wanted to ask it here, is mulberry wood is 'okay' to carve or nah? This one is still pretty fresh, also when is the perfect time to carve it ? When its kinda dry, totally dry or when its still fresh ? Thanks for answers beforehand :)
- So, picked up an old hobby and about to quit because I apparently forgot how to sharpen abutting

Is it possible to make limbs movable on wooden figures? Posted: 31 Jul 2020 11:18 PM PDT I'm new to woodcarving and I was wondering if you can make limbs move on wooden figures. If it is possible, can you explain how you can do that? Thank you. [link] [comments] | ||

So, picked up an old hobby and about to quit because I apparently forgot how to sharpen abutting Posted: 31 Jul 2020 07:43 PM PDT So, the title said it all. Had to quit because, well, life and work.. said to hell with both and made time for it again... Could only find a few of my old knives and gouges, so picked up a few new ones, grabbed a chunk of wood, and almost decided it wasn't worth it. Went to start with my old standby... A gnome. Used to take a half hour. Spent an hour on the hat and gave up. Tried stropping, tried stones, almost tried a grinder but regained my sanity. Spent an hour on each of 2 knives (Swiss made, and Flexcraft) and wound up further behind than when I started. Basically, guess I'm asking if, 1, did something change sharpness or metal wise in new knives, and 2, is there some new sharpening method I don't know about.. [link] [comments] |
