    I carved a ball and claw War Club. For enemies foreign and domestic, I reckon. A lot of sanding, a little burning, and a little hematite red. Boiled linseed oil to finish.

    How appealing is linden wood to carvers. I just had two 50' tall big leaf linden woods dropped on my property and heard it might be a decent wood for carving.
