    I guess it was time for an Ram Skull. Interesting to work through. I think if I attempt it again I won't use Basswood.

    Finally finished my first wood carving, Griswold the Grizzly! Mistakes were made, lessons were learned, fingers were cut, but I’m lucky I got something this nice out of my first piece.

    Whittled a happy little very-non-anatomical whale while watching tv the other night. Does anyone have a source for good stripping leather? The piece that came with my “kit” almost a year ago is deteriorating and my compound has been just falling off in big chips more often than not.
