- First attempt at carving. Quite proud of it and my girl was very appreciative
- Need help identifying this wood. Found on the side of the road in the woods of the last forest in San Diego California. Seems to be very hard, maybe slightly twisted grain, I couldn't split it with my Gibson carving hatchet. The deep purple stain came out when trying to split with the hatchet.
