    Painting a Japanese Noh Mask

Hi all, I carved a Japanese noh-style mask years ago but never got around to painting it. Does anyone know where I can find tutorials on how to paint this? Or does anyone have any pointers? It can be traditional-ish, or modern-style painting e.g. rattle can, I just want it to last a long time. Thanks!

(Irrelevant info, the character is Yase-Otoko, the emaciated man, it was my first mask carving so many mistakes were made, but it was a fun process.)

    Good hand carving tools?

    Posted: 23 Oct 2021 11:42 PM PDT

I want to start wood carving but I don't want "beginner tools" because I don't want to "level up" and buy something else for "non-beginners." I want some tools that are solid and long lasting regardless of skill.

    Do you have any recommendations?
