    A couple of questions

    Posted: 20 Feb 2022 09:58 AM PST

Okay so I've finished carving a few spoons and now I have a couple questions.

How much oil do I add to my spoons when I've finished carving them? Do I keep adding oil until my piece stops absorbing it?

Can I use soap when cleaning my spoons? Or will that affect the oil coating?

    Carving indoors?

    Posted: 19 Feb 2022 04:39 PM PST

I haven't been able to do much carving because it's been so cold and no matter what I do in my garage, I can't get the temp up.

I was wondering if any of you carve indoors and if so, how you manage it with the carving chips. I tried using a garbage can but I still ended up with wood chips all over.

    Incredibly sharp whittling knives ?

    Posted: 19 Feb 2022 06:28 AM PST

I like to carve small ring and pendant sized objects out of wood, it just takes very long due to my dull knives. And suggestions for God level sharp knives that can cut through even very hard wood like butter in 100 degree weather? Between 1 and 3 inches
