Posted: 11 Feb 2022 06:25 PM PST A priceless piece of family art belonging to Cherie Simone was stolen in 2014 from her house. It has a hand carved gargoyle made out of pine wood by father. They were sure it would never be returned or be seen again. After 8 years of it being missing, in February of 2022 it resurfaced again. It was spotted in California, at Alameda's Antique Flea Market by her sister, Sara Storkson, online after seeing a tiktok of it and a Facebook post. She immediately contacted her sister when it was first seen. After investigating, the true ownership of the gargoyle was determined to belong to her. Nobody is sure who sold it to the vender who had it. It is speculated that when it was stolen, it was sold at a flea market and then from there continued hopping all around to different flea markets. The vendors who had it, got in contact with the sister and very kindly offered to deliver it. Sara storkson is now fundraising money for her sister to cover travel expenses by the vendors. It's heartwarming to hear that it will make its way back to its home in the San Fernando Valley. The link to the Facebook is below.
